Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette Review + Eyeshadow Look

I am in love. This was an impulse purchase, as soon as I read on NouveauCheap that Coastal Scents was releasing a new Revealed palette that was supposed to be a dupe for Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette, I took out my "only for emergencies" card and bought it for $9.95 (+ $4.95 US Shipping) because a Naked 3 dupe for $10 qualifies as an emergency, right? Right.

I am not familiar with any Coastal Scents products. I had heard of the brand, but had never tried any of their eyeshadows, brushes, or makeup in general. I also have not tried the original Revealed palette (which contains dupes for the Naked and Naked 2 palettes), and I haven't tried the Naked 3 palette (except for a swatchfest at Sephora. I am a struggling college student). But now that I own this palette, I don't think I have too.
I like concise, straightforward opinions, so that's how I'm going to give it to you. Buy this palette--if you like warm, cozy, pretty, romantic eyeshadows. This is perfect for that. I love pink, and romantic, dreamy, feminine eyeshadow is my thing. I am aware these palettes (Revealed and Revealed 2) go on sale rather often, and although $20 is still a great price for 20 eyeshadows, a sale has never hurt anytbody. So if you've got the patience, wait until it goes on sale. But if you don't, go and shell out your emergency money.
I'd say this picture shows the eyeshadows quite well, colors are almost
spot on except they show up a bit more dull here than in person.
Packaging
Nothing special or particularly horrible. It is a very sturdy cardboard box with a magnetic closure. It is less than half an inch in thickness, extremely travel friendly (I can't picture myself going anywhere without this). It does not have a mirror but mirrors in cardboard packaging tend to break easily.

Colors + Eyeshadow Quality
Amazing. Here I will go through each shade here and explain color, finish and quality. I can't speak for the longevity of these on their own because I always use primer (Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Take on the Day eyeshadow primer to be specific because I have extremely oily eyelids that will crease even the longest lasting, crease proof eyeshadow, highly recommend this primer).
Swatched in same order as palette

Top Row
1. Shimmer: very light yellow, not stark white, one swipe, little fallout
2. Matte: pale pink, one swipe, extremely smooth application, no fallout DUPE: Naked 3 Strange
3. Shimmer: a light coppery shade, warm toned, two swipes, little fallout
4. Glitter: cool toned pink with lots of glitter, the poorest pigmentation in the palette due to large glitter particles. DUPE: Naked 3 Dust
5. Shimmer/Metallic: a soft rose gold, two swipes, no fallout, best with damp brush or fix plus DUPE: Naked 3 Burnout
6. Matte: cool toned mauve, all the matte shades are extremely smooth, great transition color, one swipe DUPE: Naked 3 Limit
7. Shimmer: similar to the first shade but slightly more yellow, one swipe, little fallout
8. Shimmer/Metallic: fuschia pink, beautiful shade, one swipe, now fallout DUPE: Naked 3 Buzz
9. Shimmer/Metallic: a warm toned coppery/rose gold, beautiful unique shade, great pigmentation, no fallout, one swipe DUPE: Naked 3 Trick
10. Shimmer/Metallic: a hair deeper and cooler than #9, great pigmentation, one swipe, little/no fallout DUPE: also Naked 3 Trick, very similar to previous eyeshadow

Bottom Row
1. Matte: mid tone mauve, cool toned, very soft and buttery, one swipe, great transition shade DUPE: Naked 3 Nooner
2. Shimmer: hard to describe, like a smoky, mauve, brown shade, beautiful nonetheless, great pigmentation, one swipe DUPE: Naked 3 Liar
3. Matte: reddish/burgundy brown, great pigmentation, one swipe
4. Shimmer: a mid toned, smoky brown, one swipe DUPE: Naked 3 Factory
5. Shimmer/Metallic: tawny, cool toned brown, one swipe DUPE: Naked 3 Mugshot
6. Shimmer/Satin: deep taupe, cool toned brown, one swipe DUPE: Naked 3 Darkside
7. Matte: one of my favorites, a beautiful, rich cranberry shade, one swipe
8. Matte: a cool toned mid tone brown, great transition or crease color
9. Matte/Satin/Shimmer: a dark purplish black base with red, blue, purple and silver glitter particles, one swipe DUPE: Naked 3 Blackheart
10. Matte: a standard, nicely pigmented black with great color pay off, completes the palette since it can be used as eyeliner

Can you tell I love this product? I bet you'll love it too IF you like pinks, taupes, cozy feeling colors. Definitely recommend, I am so glad this palette exists at such an affordable price.

Eyeshadow Look
I used the pale pink Top Row #2 in the inner two thirds of the lid, then I used the cranberry shade Bottom Row #7 on the outer one third blending it into the pale pink and extending it slightly across the crease, I then used the rose gold Top Row #5 on the center of the lid although it doesn't seem to show up that well in the pictures. I liner the lower lashline with the matte mauve Bottom Row #1. I lined my eyes with Avon Always on Point eyeliner in Black and the inner corner and lower water line with Jordana 12 Hour Made to Last eyeshadow pencil in Continuous Almond. I also tightlined with Essence Gel Eyeliner in Black. I used L'oreal Miss Manga mascara in Black
(Try to) Ignore the stray eyebrows and messy liner
Pay no attention to the smeared eyeliner on the lid.

Are you planning on buying this palette? Let me know what you think. --M♥
